Italic Google Ad spotted
I haven’t seen anybody else report on this yet so I may have a scoop! Yippee!
I just saw a new kind of Google AdSense ad on one of my sites. The ad uses an emphasized link font as shown here in this screen capture.

Looks like Google is doing some more testing in the wild. It could raise CTR’s for some, as I noticed this ad instantly (of course, I’m a publisher so I look for these things). I have heard Google is tinkering with their logo on the ads as well.
What do you think of the new format?

YouTube to Share Ad Revenue
People who upload their own films to video-sharing website YouTube will soon get a share of the ad revenue according to Jensense. It’s unclear at this point how this would be done but rival Metacafe has been doing this for a while now with their Producer Rewards, it only was a matter of time.
I’d be very interested in seeing how much they pay and what kind of content works best with this. Mini-tutorials come to mind as something AdSense ads could go along with.
It’ll also be interesting to see how Google deals with the onslaught of spammers and copyright infringers that will surely flood the space.
