ReviewMe Pays You to Blog
The following is a paid review:
There’s a brand new service on the web called ReviewMe which enables bloggers to write sponsored posts in return for a payment from advertisers. The idea is not new, and there is controversy surrounding the whole notion of being paid to write reviews for products or services and posting those reviews on blogs.
Andy Hagans is the man behind ReviewMe and is no stranger to innovative website monetization techniques. As Andy himself puts it- "I take monetization seriously. Blogging is my business!" You might know him from Performancing.com or Text Link Ads. ReviewMe is his latest invention.
So what’s so great about ReviewMe? ReviewMe allows bloggers like you and me to write a review of an advertisers product or service on their Web site. One result is the traffic, viral buzz, and invaluable feedback this generates. And because a blog review doesn’t look anything like an advertisement, ad blindness is not a factor. By letting the authors choose which product they wish to blog about they are more inclined to give a deep, receptive, and insightful review. The ReviewMe network means to advertisers that you are not stuck trying to track down 100 different bloggers to find the best fit.
As yet, I do not see a referral program on their site. This is something I would like so see, something similar to what is available at Text Link Ads. in the meantime, they are offerring something different. When you are accepted as a blogger by ReviewMe your first review offer will come from ReviewMe itself. They will pay bloggers for reviews until an initial purse of $25,000 is consumed. What a great idea!
I recommend you check ReviewMe out, then decide for yourself.

Test Link Ads Acquired
TLA Acquired By MediaWhiz
According to an email I just received from TLA (Text Link Ads), they will be will be joining forces with MediaWhiz.
This is good news for publishers like myself.
"Publishers: by leveraging MediaWhiz’s agency relationships and sales staff we will be able to sell more ad space on your website. We also will be adding the ability to monetize your website in new ways including: CPA offers and CPM display advertising.
Advertisers: TLA will be working with MediaWhiz to offer new ways to drive traffic and sales to your website including: email marketing, CPA offers, CPM display ads and more!
It is important to note that the people you will be dealing with tomorrow at TLA will be the same people you have always dealt with since our doors opened in 2003. Over the next few months we will be moving our office to New York City to join the MediaWhiz headquarters and look forward to meeting more of our clients and publishers in person! This is an exciting time for our team and our clients. We have found a great partner that will be able to help our publishers and advertisers earn more money. We are looking forward to delivering more great products and even better service in the coming months with this alliance!"
Congrats to Patrick and the crew at TLA!

August 2006: Top Earners
The Blog Herald has posted about its Top Earners for August so I thought I would do the same.
Here’s where I see the money coming in-
- Google AdSense is currently my biggest chunk of income.
- Chitika comes in at a close second largely because my sites are product related.
- Amazon sales have picked up a bit lately, always good to see.
- Text Link Ads bring in a bit but I’m cooling to them.
- Azoogleads continues to perplex me. I have sent them close to a thousand clicks and have not seen one single conversion.
- Commission Junction zip, nadda, zero.
How are you doing?
